The film collected a whopping Rs 36.50 crore on the second day, which means that the film has outperformed Salman's previous best with Kick.
Salman Khan is back and with a bang. No, not Dabangg this time. but Being human all over. Salman Khan's Bajrangi Bhaijaan is one film in recent years that has not only raked in good moolah (all his films do!), but has also received a warm reception among the audiences and critics alike.
The film which opened as the biggest Bollywood opener of the year brought in Rs 27.25 crore on day one. But Friday suffered a little because Muslim audiences could not watch the film at all. Rather, they caught the film on Saturday, which was also a celebratory day. On Eid, the film grew by almost 35% and brought in a whopping Rs 36.50 crore at the box office. With that, the total two day collection of the film stand at a mammoth Rs 63.75 crore at the box office.
Not just that, the film has now surpassed Kick's previous 2 day record and is also expected to beat the opening weekend records of his other films too. While Kick brought in around Rs 83 crore in three days, Ek Tha Tiger had collected around Rs 60 crore in the first three days but given that it had an extended weekend of 5 days, it brought in around Rs 116 crore in the 5 day weekend.
Looking at statistics, the film will be enjoying another holiday on Sunday and shows will be packed. So earnings around the Rs 35-37 crore mark can be expected and the film might cross the 100 crore mark in three days flat.
